I am married with 1 son. I've been working in IT for 28 years and work primarily with servers running Solaris/UNIX/Linux. I have been a ham radio operator since 1976 and the hobby has been mostly responsible for my interest in radio, computers and now electric cars. Being a ham radio operator helps you get a realistic grasp of technology. You learn that just because something doesn't work the first time means you have to keep taking different approaches to isolating reasons for the failure of a circuit and solving them. So it is with electric cars. I predict there will be a lot of false starts before they catch on. They will, and must catch on, because the conventional technology, gasoline internal combustion engines, have reached the limit of their scalability in the market place and electric vehicles have the potential to provide a sustainable means of getting from point A to point B.
