Nikki trained as a classical musician, graduating from the Guildhall school of Music and Drama, London. She started teaching after leaving school, but now spends most of her time EVangelising about vehicles with plugs. Nikki lives in Bristol UK with her American wife Kate and their two dogs, Eddie and Pepper. They're expecting their adopted child very soon! She got the EV bug back in her childhood when she saw a picture of an Enfield Electric car in a magazine. She's also a pretty big petrol head and has owned her fair share of polluting, growling sportscars and hot-rods!

Former editor of Plugged In Magazine, Nikki has owned two electric scooters, an electric bike and a City El EV, which she converted to run on lithium ion batteries and to have a much faster acceleration and top speed compared to the stock model.

She now drives a 1985 VW Golf CityStromer, which she maintains herself - because girls can fix cars too! She also has a 2002 G-Wiz. Yes, an NEV!
