Regarding Sunmotors car.  It would still be a pretty cool car regardless.  Say you drive 10 miles a day on average and the pv miles provide 15 miles range a day.  If your battery was empty, you would start to build up a net gain as the days wore on.  Thus, if you have to go on a 200 miles you would have the reserve to do it.

Maybe you could get Daryl Hannah on the show.

Bill,
   The solar panels are probably worth doing.  I think you are right, it would as something like 10 miles per day.  Maybe this is the better way to think about it or market it.
