The bankruptcy of SsangYong, the Korean Car maker that provides the gliders for Phoenix Cars, may not affect Phoenix at all- apparently it is for protection from creditors, not a liquidation bankruptcy, so Phoenix may still be getting their gliders uninterrupted. Peapod: Well I actually like the look and thought about it as a good vehicle for my 20 mile daily commute on city roads. But 25 MPH will not cut it. It would have to be 35 MPH. Also, a 30 mile range is cutting things too close for me.
Paul: thanks for the links about SsangYong. It is dissappointing to hear that they may bite the dust and finish off Phoenix motors in the process.
I'm sure it gets frustrating to constanty report delayed EVs and scam claims. But you are creating an oral history of the early 21st century EV revival. Even though it may seem improbable at times, EVs will be quite mainstream eventually. So keep up the good work.

Garbage now that is MY wheel house. The following table shows how trash was handled in recent history. Generally, it is better for the environment to recycle something than to burn it. Trash buring is the leading cause of Dioxin release into the environment. People still burn trash in barrels. Cities are hoping to be able to buy heavy duty hybrid trucks. Cities in CA will be required to reduce CO2 generation. When enforced this should cause greening of fleets.
