The thing about the Altairnano 10-minute charge, is that they have shown the 10-minute charge in the real world.
EEStor's solution is much more than a 10-minute charge- they are supposed to be lower cost and weight than the Li-Ion chemistries, and, while it may not may as much difference in cars (though I think it will- no worries about the depth or amount of discharge), the longevity of an EEStor EESU will be very appealing to utilities, renewable energy production, and back-up power solutions.

Yeah, the AltairNano 10 minute charge is different than other batteries. You can't just hook up any Lithium-Ion battery to a fast charger and expect it to work. That will destroy many batteries. It might work for some batteries for a few cycles but they'll probably be destroyed with such harsh abuse. So the Altairnano chemistry is different than others.
Hey . . . check out this conversion of a Honda S2000 to a Lithium-Ion based EV. He might be worth interviewing. Can someone check my math, but it seems that he paid only around $520 per Kilowatt-hour for his 23 Kilowatt-hour Li-Ion battery pack. That is pretty impressive.

please research your comments as people are looking at you as experts in the field. Harleys start at 14,ooo and work their way up to 38,ooo. But common models that are selling between 14 & 24. They also get 55 mpg on the highway. 65,ooo is what Orange County Chopper sells their custom bikes for. Altria has said that their targeting other markets, mainly because how long it is taking Phoinex motorcar to market thier SUV & SUT's. If they had waited for Phoinex they'd be bankrupt like so many other company's. They went with markets that were ready for them and making orders. When Phoinex is ready to show a steady demand they'll produce the line. They've showed that they can produce the battery, and they've said that cost, with mass production, would come down 10 to 20 fold. They made a mistake and signed a contract with Phoinex Motorcar stating that they wouldn't sell thier auto design battery to any other auto manufacture in the US. If they had a production line right now, it would be sitting there gathering dust and eating money.
Fiat Doblo similar to the Ford commercial vehicle use using the Altairnano battery in soome test a while ago but I don't know what happen with that.
