Make no mistake folks, this IS a revolution. The switch to EVs will be more significant than the introduction of the PC and the Internet combined. There are billions of dollars to be made, and many millionaires and even billionaires. Do you want to be one of them?
We apologize for the quality of the audio on this episode. Jason's mic did not record-- we did our best to reconstruct it using the audio picked up by the video camera. Rest assured, we will deliver on our promise to get Jason a nice headset!

I don't trust investing in public companies anymore. If they did 2 things 1. Illegalize director and employee stock options. and 2. Limit executive pay to about 5X the average employees pay. I might change my mind about the corrupt public companies and managers of the United States.
The key to Google was the inital $100,000 investment by some guy from Stanford to put their idea of the search engine on the internet.
I think for electric cars, what might be good is to find someone small that built or converted a good looking car that you think would sell. Maybe one you see on youtube. Someone who knows machining, welding, and CNC work. Possibly using controller of their own design and brushless motors from China. The reason for this is I don't think electric conversion should be expensive. Basically a controller just sends pulses of electricity to the motor (possibly changing voltage). You can buy a 5 HP shopvac at Lowes for $29. With careful selection, I think you can collect parts to build an electric car for less than $1500 not including batteries. Furthermore, I think most EV companies are making a mistake building tiny EVs, when the value might be large or the largest of vehicles SUVs. Thus $2000 car, $1500 components, $3000 battery, $2000 installation, you are looking at $8500 for a re-manufactured car.
My favorite NEVs are Zenn, Oka, and Dynasty. A close 2nd are Tiger Truck, Revolution, E-Ride, Dymac, Kurrent, and Miles.
