Hi guys! Whew! A lot to comment on today- (or I just have more ilde time than usual!)
To start with: Cool! First a Tesla, now a Vectrix Electric motorcyle- you know, you're making all your listeners jealous- but congrats on your most recent EV purchase.
The Saturn Vue is going to be a parallel for now, and while the blog about the Vue at the gm-volt.com site seems to be unclear, it seems like there are plans for a plug-in hybrid as well, as they say the are testing 11 Vue Plug-in hybrids.
There should be plenty of Lithium available world-wide, and may be available in North America as well, but it has been plentiful enough that no one has made a large effort to seek out more as yet- I don't think we will have the same issue with Lithium we currently have with oil.
Altairnano did do a demonstration where they did a 10 minute fast charge of their battery, so perhaps they are not so far away as it seems to production. That was interesting about the nuclear concept car, the Ford Nucleon- too bad it was never built- it is probably glowing green with envy over the Tesla;)
And last, but not least- Austin "Massachusetts!!!!" All other Austins have to qualify their existance by listing their state along with their city name, but Texas has THE Austin, home of MMC, Dell computer, Heliovolt, EESTOR, Actacell, and a longhorn named Bevo;-)

Yes I think so, there should be more EVs. Because with this kind of crisis we really need to save a lot of money that's why more people are buying EVs and EVs has a low depreciation rates and has a good engine oil filler tube
