Well- sorry you couldn't broadcast live for this one - hopefully tomorrow (today!) will work out better;-)  This EVCast was a hodgepod, but probably reflects the Expo environment - sounds fun!  I wish I could touch a Volt:-(

Zan Dubin Scott - she sounds very interesting, and may make an excellent, lively interview on a future EVCast- she certainly held her own with you two knuckleheads;-)

Russell Sydney of the medium speed electric movement - I wish him success, but I think this is going to be an uphill battle, especially at the federal level- it cost money to tests vehicles at different speeds, and I also think there is the potential for exponentially more problems in an accident at 35mph vs 25mph, so the DOT may be reluctant to allow a 'less-tested' vehicle at that speed - still, you never know...

Charles - Is this the small Asian guy from from the 'Oceans' movies?

Greg, from Miles Motors - their XS500 model comes out end of 2009- I just get an uneasy feeling with so much manufacuring done in China- you know, the the Communist, Tiananmen Square, China?

Eletric Blue Motors - a converted 4-door Yaris for $22,995 for a pure EV - done in Flagstaff, AZ - car is bought for $13,000 with no extras- they remove the parts and put in 12 lead acid batteries for a range of 50 miles. So, essentially, they do a conversion for $10,000- they save the cost by using lead acid instead of Li-Ion- but, until the cost of Li-Ion comes down, not a bad trade-off.  I also like the idea of a Chevy S-10  pickup that goes 60-75 miles. Their web site is:  http://electricbluemotors.com/

I know I mentioned this on a previous EVCast back in June or July, but I think a lot of car makers and conversion specialists are missing the boat by not considering lead acid as a cheaper alternative, at least for the next few years, while Li-Ion, or some other battery development, comes down in price- especially the advanced lead-acid batteries now in developement and/or production, like the Firefly battery, the Axion Power Hybrid battery and, similar in technology I think to Axion, the lead-acid/capacitor hybrid-battery from CSIRO in Australia, who, unfortunatly, is partnering with a Japanese Auto maker.
