My bailout bit didn't make sense. I meant to say, "GM was all praising the future when bailouts were not an really option (2 months ago)". Things have changed fast.

I might lease a dog to celebrate.

That was about Eestor.  Sorry I had to leave and listen to the rest later.  Downside of listening at work.  I have a bad feeling about Eestor.

On another note, looks like I pissed off Mr. Holst-Grubbe, he asked that I retract my comment.  Unfortunately I will have to stand by it, unless he can prove that the energies lost to bumps are about equal to the energy required to propel the car.  He keeps insisting that the up and down motion is independent of the forward motion, which is pretty ignorant.  I would like to recommend he goes to Enencom.com and invests heavily in their technology.

Oh yeah... Steven Wright, definitely

Hey Bo - "Around the World in 80 Days" was written by Jules Verne- he also wrote "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "From the Earth to the Moon."  He is considered the father of Science Fiction, and all these were written in the 1800's - pretty amazing insights he had.

This is a little off topic, but since you are talking about underwater EV bikes...- this year at the airshow in Oshkosh, one gentelman flew an EV airplane- completely on batteries.  It is a converted glider (in this case a real glider!) that can go about 60-70 mph for around 90 minutes.  This same guy also flew an EV Ultralight in the 2007 Oshkosh show, and now you can buy one at his web site- pretty cool stuff!  His web site is a bit scattered, but you can see videos of his EV Airplane on the home page, and, along with the EV Ultralight, on other parts of his web siight.  His URL is:  http://www.electraflyer.com/

The EV Word of the Day for me is spurious; as in.

    "...have spurious safety features."

1. not genuine, authentic, or true; not from the claimed, pretended, or proper source; counterfeit.
