Regarding SSC, it really seems like they are issuing press-releases with very little care. I can totally understand someone taking notes at a meeting, misunderstanding, and putting out a press release that was wrong. It shouldn't happen, but it does.
But to issue a correction (to 220v) and then have to correct it again is just rediculous.
Presumably this was a company with credibility so I don't know why they would shoot themselves in the foot like this.

You guys don't seem very informed about battery technology for people supposedly running an EV site. It's possible to buy Altair's batteries currently. They don't only exist "in the lab." The Current Eliminator V dragcar uses them. They can charge to 95% in 10 minutes. For a 50 kWh battery needed to power a car over 200 miles, this would be possible using a 440V, 600A industrial connection. This will be possible at "quick charge" stations. It's OBVIOUSLY not possible in a normal house.
Well, Mr Guest- "Obviously" you did not listen to the podcast that well, and have not been following the claims of Shelby- of couse they would need an industrial-type of electrical connector/station to charge their car in 10 minutes- that has been the point of this site, that Shelby either did not know, or was extremely careless, or was full of horse-hockey. Such irresponsible statements by a would-be EV maker do the industry as a whole a huge disservice- thus the slap-down by Bo and Ryan.
