Hi EVcast, THanks for the good work you're doing. I listened today but the audio is difficult to listen to. John

Fisker Karma Width 78.1 inches
Tesla Roadster Width 73.7 inches
Lexus GX470 74.0 inches
Lexus LX 570 77.6 inch
Lexus RX350 74.2 inch
Lexus RX400 72.6 inch
You said the audio was good. I was hoping to be able to hear the interview. Why try to hook your laptop into the sound board. Here is an interesting interview with the inventor of the Nimh battery. He says the mistake of the patent owners was partnering with an oil company. He says the next generation nimh would have taken the EV1 200 miles.
Plug in American should force the DOE buy the Nimh patent rights from Chevron.

Fred,
That will happen when Chevron-Texaco is in as dire straights as GM is but for now they aren't receiving any bail-out money so the government doesn't have any leverage.
In 2014 the NiMh patent expires and Panasonic can go full steam ahead and sell its NiMhs to anyone it likes.
Rick, from the oil capitol of the world, Houston, TX.
Can't congress declare that the patent is in the country's strategic best interest and then make the technology available. I think they have done this with drug patents by making them generic.
Private right versus public right understood, but we need to secure our energy indp. before the sunni and shia conflict makes it a maker of survival.
