Hi guys and gal! I'm just chowing on some pizza and listening to the EVCast...
I could not hear the "12 PR Problems of EV's" song- too much static- sorry to have not understood the lyrics you worked so hard over;-)
Delays for the Fisker- They are coming to market very quickly- probably too quickly- thus a moving target date should not be a big surprise!
Miss Earth 2009: http://www.missearth.info/
ZENN is making a smart move- they do not have the resources to go into the highway-speed EV market, especially with so many automakers now joining the fray. No, They have hitched their wagon to Eestor and will rise or fall on that. My views on Eestor are already known- I think Eestor will make it. But I would be surprised if it is by the end of this year. There is just so much that can go wrong in bringing a new technology to market- I'm sure they have already had one snag after another. I think the science is good, but making it manageable and affordable on a mass-production scale is another matter, and could easily not arrive for another couple of years- and it will still be a world-beater. So, patience, my Eestor-doubters;-)
For an interesting read of a bit of hearsay from the Eestor Blogger's site, read the beginning of the following thread from there (and yes, take it with a grain of salt- but it is still an interesting read)

Oh yes- had to sneak this in- the University of Texas is on the way to Pasedena to play for the National Championship against Alabama;-) Hook 'em Horns!

I re-listened to your EV Christmas Carol in all its stand-alone glory! Much better sound quality, and very funny! I liked the spiral clock for '5 years away.' Hmmm- kind of like that UFO in Norway?
I would say you also probably do a very good Kermit the Frog for your kids, Bo;-)
Bo-- as much as you may be excited by the electric skateboard you mention, it is a far cry from the original invented by my best bud, Louie "Electric Louie" Finkle, some years ago.
The skateboard he invented and which he sold the rights to had a top speed of 25 mph, and had a range of 40 miles on one charge-- next time I'm in his shop, I'll take some pix of the only working model he has of it. The skateboard has a wireless pistol-grip hand controller that not only signals to the motor when to speed up, but when you release your grip on the trigger, it slows it down... I'm not actually sure if it's true regenerative braking, but it seems it would have to be... the pistol grip does not send a radio signal in the way you would expect-- it uses your body to transfer the signal to the receiver below the board, which not only means using less energy, but if you slip off of the board, the board stops moving immediately because the receiver is no longer getting a signal. That's a safety feature.
Louie's main business is RSG Ames Security, which is the biggest company in the country that makes all the little red fire alarm boxes you see in high-rises, schools, arpartment buildings, etc.; but his real passion is EVs. He was the main person that helped me convert my BMW to an EV, (You Tube: BMW EV Conversion Burns Rubber!) He also converted a small Chinese car to battery electric with a small, lightweight motor of his own design.
I will be able to tell you more when some patents have been filed.
It seems the sound quality has improved quite a bit on the broadcasts over the last few months-- thanks.
It's my bet that EEstor and ZENN are on the level, and will have a great power source available soon, but I doubt it will be before the end of the year. We'll see.
Love the EVcast's take on the 12 days of Christmas! It was very funny - and almost as cringe enducing as EVcast the Musical!
I'm going to play that repeatitively when my wife does something wrong. She'll love it. :)
25:08 Miss Electric. Not to pick on you, because you speak well and I love hearing you on the podcast, but the "optimum word here" should be the "operative word here."
5. Significant; most important; key: The operative word is "low-fat."

Bo, I must admit, that when I heard you were going to sing, I reached for my earbuds so that I could yank them if necessary to save my hearing and sanity. However, the singing was... well... let's say acceptable. Nicely done. The lyrics, priceless. Well, done. Now to watch the video.LaterJohn C. Briggs
