Russel - "We've always called the Karma a plug-in hybrid, but it has no mechanical links what so ever to the traction motor or wheels."
Bo - "That's funny, that's exactly GM said."
No Bo, this is what GM says, "Unlike a conventional battery-electric vehicle" "The Chevrolet Volt is a new type of electric vehicle." They haven't called it a plug-in hybrid in any of the press releases I've read. GM hasn't lied, they just purposely deceived us. I believe GM is trying to get EV credit for the Volt when they should have been satisfied with plug-in status.
Is the Volt any less impressive? Not in my opinion. Would I buy a Volt? No, because I will never buy a vehicle from GM. I tend to avoid companies who use deceptive practices. I sent GM that message after their "Range Anxiety" blunder. GM's marketing group needs to smarten up before they lose more potential customers.

the wheego life ride & drive for dealers is comming up oct 22 -23 at ontario calif. this is the new production kick off.
Hi!What a title! Some episodes before, you're anti LEAF, now you're anti VOLT. Is this anti-evcast now? What else is coming? anti-Karma?
@JohnM, this is what is known as a lively discussion among EV fans that think these issues are worth discussing. Don't think anyone here is anti-GM or anti-LEAF.
technical error! the text says it's episode #402, Thursday, October 14, but on the audio it says it's Tuesday, October 12.
Which is correct?
