Towable range extenders have been around for a while. Check out this page: http://evmaine.org/html/ev_trailers.html There's even one hooked up to a RAV4 EV and it steers itself for easy backing (Bo). And look, you can use solar panels instead of a gas generator ;)I think in general these trailers might be a good idea http://bit.ly/b0iLiJ). I don't want a gas engine in my car, but I'm going to keep a gas car for those occasional road trips...Ryan's idea to rent them might be nice - if they're cheaper than renting a full-sized car. Thanks for a great show!-Sean

Oh, the Volt commercials are fine- if you can't tout your differences, why build an EREV to begin with? And a few years from now, when GM starts to build BEVs, the reason will be because change has occurred, in the form of cheaper, longer-range batteries and/or more fast charge stations.
I think, for the Automotive X-Prize, you did not have to be capable of manufacturing lots of cars, only that you had a viable business plan to do so- otherwise how could teams like West Philly High and Illuminati have competed?
Oh! Comparing Eestor with ZAP- that is low! A big year for press releases from Eestor only adds up to one, so this year is not really much different. Oh ye of little faith! I too am disappointed that we have yet to see a working EESU from Eestor- but even if they take another 3 years, it will still be a disruptive technology. However, it would be nice to see one soon, to take advantage of the current environment- if EVs implode over the next couple of years, and they might, it will make adoption, even with a cheaper, better technology, that much harder.
Hi Guys,You are the best in the EV space Media - hold on, money will come - it is always dark before the dawn! Please check this out - it is the best video on Electric Cars we have see so far:http://sufiy.blogspot.com/2010/11/lithium-drive-what-is-electric-car.htmlThis movie is coming out soon - lets spread the word!We think that you have missed one, potentially, very important development in the EV battery space - wonder lithium battery from DBM Energy:"Last week we saw the news on numerous websites about the new magic battery from German start up DBM Energy, which allows to power an Electric Car for...600 km! We were digging the information and now can tell you - that if this information will be confirmed - we have a breakthrough in lithium battery technology. We do not know the cost of this battery at this moment, its specific power and other specs, but claims are so impressive, that we still need further confirmation and verification by the third parties."http://sufiy.blogspot.com/2010/10/lithium-metal-polymer-battery-from-dbm.htmlOn another note, maybe, you should add to your coverage story about Peak Oil - listeners will get a more depth and perspective: why actually all shortcomings of the recent EVs - if any - is nothing compare to the idea of sustained mobility and freedom, when Oil price will surpass 100 USD/b again. With your branded humor and forensic reporting you will provide a very important media for this very serious issue. More listeners will join you, not only EV enthusiasts, but investors, like us, seeking for new ideas. They will bring you the necessary financial support.Keep up the good job!We will put your link on our website - we are connecting the dots in the investment opportunities in the next big thing, which is for us Electric Cars - feel free to place ours if you like it.We know how it is difficult to make a start up, we are here to help. Hi Bo and Ryan,
Here we go registered.
Please, find What Is The Electric Car trailer - the best EV video we have seen so far - on this link.
Information on Lithium Metal Polymer Battery from DBM Energy which is good for a 600 km EV ride link.
The ace will be if you can pull out an interview with this company - we hope it is not Esstor 2.0!
Does anyone have any information on the cost of this technology?
Regards,
Sufiy.
