EVs Are a Dead End

A dude posted this f'n awesome article about what a stupid idea electric cars are.  Here is the article

Here are my comments:

Right on Bro! I am with you on this one.

Electric cars will be murders of those on life support. They are nothin but grid drainin SOBs.  Worse than that, imagine coming back home to your trailer after a long day of scoutin the local high school for women, and finding out that all your beer is warm because those damn electric cars took down the grid.

Thanks for the math on the batteries!  I never really though of that.  $60 x 6800.. I can't believe Tesla is paying $408,000 for the batteries alone, and selling the car for only $109k!  What idiots!  You should say something to them.

And about that cross country thing, damn!  How right you are.  Everybody drives cross country these days.. almost daily! Especially in a 2 seater sports car.  What are they thinking!

And for your last point... here here!  Who gives a rats ass about global warming, national security, and the economy.  I'm all about gettin' laid, you know what I'm sayin' mo fo? Yea.. gimme some o dat!

Besides, the auto industry is doing just fine producing the chick-magnet, oil burnin, f'n rockin' cars, no need for them to do anything different.

Nice article dude.  You are an inspiration to me and everyone else just like me.

Hey Motor DiK:

Thanks for the satire. You are right everyone can have an opinion no matter how ignorant they are.

I agree with wintergreen research.  There will likely be 33 million EVs on the road by 2015.  Once NiMH Batteries patent issues are eliminated then inexpensive EVs will compete effectively with ICEs.  The growth of the developing world ensures that gas prices will rise to new highs when the ecomony comes back.  A $6k EV that gets 100mile plus range will do well in the marketplace.

Fred.

Sorry . . . the DoE did a study that indicated that the current electric grid could handle some 70 million electric cars as is.   You just charge them up at night.
