Ryan,
Here is your electric lawnmower.

We have an electric mower too. I was going to buy a battery powered mower but decided to go with the plug-in version for more power. Apart from almost running over the cord over every few minutes it's not bad.
We've saved a few bucks on fuel/oil as well as the time to go to the gas station on Saturday with a little can. I just wouldn't feel right taking my EV to the gas station so the lawn mower could get high on gas.
Thanks for the mower tips, gents.

Re: the experiences of existing ev owners I love the show idea. This presentation Toyota RAV4 EV Driver Experience RAV4 http://eaaeurope.org/Survey_RAV4EV_Ron_Freund_CARB_2006.pdf has statistics (on a slide) about the failures of that occurred amongst 132 owners. If I can count right there were 32 problems. The most common problem was a charge port fan (8). Two had problems with the battery pack. Looking at the variety of problems, I would not say that the stats make me think that EVs are more trouble free than ICEs.
Granted these vehicles were experimental small scale production vehicles and I want one bad-ly (grammar working).
Sorry for slowly savoring the past shows, but one can realize that if the price of oil is so elastic that it can drop $80 in a few months then it can go up as fast as the world's economy starts working again. We are at a price bottom now for oil. So the mean price for a slowly growing world economy maybe something like $90 a barrel.
