You misinterpreted the 79% interest in fast charging being out of line with industry expectations. The consumers' expectations on *how much to pay* for home fast charging is out of line with how much the industry *expects home fast charging to cost*. I.e., consumers aren't willing to put forth enough money.

The MIT developed Wiitricity induction method was transfering power at 45% at a little over two meters - I wish they had given transfer effeciency at other distances - if used in a floor to bottom of car setup you would expect a distance of around a foot give or take 3 inchs- you'd want a 90%+ at this distance.
