Charlie Garlow is a long time clean energy activist with the Sierra
Club, the Potomac Regional Solar Energy Association, the Virginia Solar
Council, the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater DC and others. He
is a principal organizer of the annual Tour of Solar Homes in the
Greater DC area for the last 19 years. www.solartour.org.  He has been
the RaceMaster of the Junior Solar Sprint races for junior high school
students for 18 years. www.evadc.org/kids.  He raced his own Chevy
S-10 pickup truck in the annual Power of DC electric vehicle drag race at
Hagerstown, MD for four years and raced his new BugE at last August's race. http://www.powerofdc.com His vehicles are powered by electricity
from wind farms in SW Pennsylvania.  You can buy wind powered
electricity from http://www.newwindenergy.com who own the wind farms or through your local utility like www.pepcoenergy.com.

Garlow says he “walks the walk, talks the talk, and DRIVES the JIVE”!

He also juggles and rides a unicycle.

We also touched on the X of 1 solar car that is traveling around the Americas demonstrating the viability of solar cars for transportation. http://www.xof1.com

Well, Charlie Garlow is a man to be admired because of his strong convictions on promoting clean energy. I just hope all of the cars in the world would have clear corners to avoid further damage of the ecosystem and the ozone layer.
