Once again, great show! A few points...

  • With the new "competition" segment - could you give out a Skype name to call as well as a number, for us overseas people.
  • With respect to the website/downloads - leave these as they are. I can skip (boring!)bits if required. [Just joking with the "boring bits" comment, I find the shows very informative and entertaining]
  • In South Australia your 1pm is my 4:30am! I'll to get up early next time to join you.

I listen to the podcast from the site. Please do not change. Don't change just to change. Would like to see you discuss how companies could use better marketing to interest more people. Educate. Educate. Convince someone to open showroom in Memphis so I can put my butt in a seat and test drive...

Re Michelin Tires

"Tests on the EV concept tire show that it is possible to reduce the level of rolling resistance compared to traditional passenger car tires by 15 per cent. The company said its current Michelin Energy Saver A/S passenger tire is already 30 per cent better in rolling resistance than the market average."

Can some translate for me.  Looks like

1) EV concept tire 15% better than normal tire
2) The shipping Michelin Energy Saver is 30% better than normal tire

So does that mean that the EV concept tire is 15% worse than what is shipping today?

As usual, good insights and links John- are you sure that was a Reva?  I thought maybe it was the service car for the Gateway Nerd Herd!  Though in India, where the cow is held sacred, perhaps that commercial would be a huge success;-)

Anyone remember S.T. Tripathi and his small vehicle from China called "The Current"?  Well they are back.  I was listening to another podcast (I am allowed to do that right, no one said this was exclusive, there were no vows or monogamy implied) and they had a great interview with the new head of a company now calling themselves "Green Electric Vehicles."  Not to be confused with "Green Vehicles" the maker of the Triac.

Bold as ever, S.T. et.al, are moving to florida to be near a deep water port because they are bringing to market 7, yes seven, different types of EVs to the US market.  These will be between $25K and $40K, have Li-Ion batteries, and have already been US Dot crash tested.  Test drives will start in February or March.

  Everyone excited!!!
