The week on the Power Hour we talk about what we were facing 40 years ago and what we are facing today. When Earth Day started it was mainly a reaction to ever increasing poor quality of the air, water and the fact that there was lots of trash almost everywhere you looked. Personal health was the driving force behind Earth Day. Today this day takes on new meaning and special importance since the threats of air pollution is resulting in a new and much more threatening problem. It's not climate change, but the environmental disasters that will be a result of our polluting the air.
