Bo, Bo, Bo! Ryan, Ryan, Ryan! We will NEVER be held hostage by Lithium producers- if the cost or availability of cheap, easy lithium went up, there is more than enough in the US and the oceans to provide what we need. And even if we go that route, and the price of Lithium triples, it will not add a lot to the cost of the battery.

I recommend you guys do 2 things -
But if I have the money why would I be pissing about waiting for a Leaf when I could land a beauty convertible like Jack´s Porsche.
This is a video magazine online updated weekly with videos. Jack has so far bought 2 brand new Replica Porsche Speedsters (convertibles) and fitted them out for electric. These are so desireable and cost half the price of a Tesla (about 100 miles per charge). . Jack has also done a MINI Clubman conversion (brand new) and has some great wisdom about the mass market movement. He holds the same opinin as me - there is way too much hype and no delivery by anybody in the Field (Maybe Wheego will shake things up).
