Enjoyed the show, guys and gal!

Pan American road trip by those Imperial College of London Students:  http://www.racinggreenendurance.com/

Two interesting perspectives on the future of Tesla, an intersection of the history of car manufacturing and the future of clean tech- which will be the over-riding impetus for Tesla's future?  THAT is hard to predict!  But I think, as John does, that history will see Tesla as the pebble that pushed the car industry back into EV development, and that may be more important than whether they suvive or not, their impact on the automotive market as a whole.

Is Tesla a good stock investment?  I own no stock of any sort, so don't go by my analysis, but let me relate this story.  I remember when Dell Computer was the third-largest computer maker...in AUSTIN!  The big dog back in the early 90's, in Austin and the US was Compuadd.  At the time, who would have thought that by the end of the 90s, Compuadd would be no more, and Dell would vault to the number-one spot in the world.

Mass adoption of EVs- this is really the crux of all this, isn't it?  What will it take to get there- cheaper batteries?  more expensive oil?  higher gas taxes?  another terrorist attack? Heaven forbid that we in America adopt EVs as a PREEMTIVE move;-)

The Volt is coming to Austin- Woo-Hoo!  Eat your hearts out guys;-)

Efficiency of the EV1 Magne Paddle:  " The Magne Charge system employed high-frequency induction to deliver high power at an efficiency of 86% (6.6kW power delivery from a 7.68kW power draw)."  (from:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inductive_charging )
