Back from my west coast trip. My tour of Tesla and my test ride (they would not let me drive - insurance issues) made it clear to me that I will be getting the Tesla -- but delivery will still be about a year away.
As for the TRIAC, unfortunately, my home state, MA, will not allow this on public roads because it is a three-wheeled covered vehicle.
Early next week I will head down to Rhode Island where the home of the Vectrix is -- the fully electric motorcycle/scooter. I think this will be a OK interum solution for now.
As for my full-time car, I am leaning to the Fisker Karma. I will start that process next week. Still looking that 2010 delivery, but I like that solution better than the Volt, and I think my chances of getting a Fisker sooner would be better than getting a Volt.
