Subject: Postal EV's Proposed Show Topics posted by FredHinds on Friday, June 20th 2008 @ 3:16 PM
CNN did a story on the price of gas and their delivery fleet. What they failed to mention was that they could be 100% electric right now. Ford was making EV delivery trucks for them in 2001. Here is yet another example of the proven ability of EV's just wasted.

"The typical postal carrier route is 25 miles, and the vehicles delivered on April 19th have a range, fully loaded, of 40 miles"

Ford built these. "Although deployment of the first 500 ECRVs was successful, the project team was unable to maintain production because additional orders did not materialize at a sustained rate. On the positive side, the demonstration at White Plains proved the viability of electric postal vehicles in New York State."
Just more proof that EVs are proven technology.
