I was thinking about the bumper car concept and this is my opinion.

(Numbers used mostly to make math easy)

Picture two EVs - they both store enough energy to drive 300 miles - but one uses a standard battery technology and has a rechage of 5 hours (car 1) the other has a Eestor like technology and has a recharge time of five minutes ( car 2).

next picture a mile long recharging grid on the freeway where you charge as you drive- going sixty both cars are in contact with the grid for one minute- Car 1 gains enough energy to go 1 mile where Car 2 gains enough energy to go 60 miles- so with a slow recharging system you'd need the recharging grid almost the whole length of your road and the cost would be prohibited- but with quick charging EVs the recharging areas could be spaced many miles and may make sense.
