This is an e-mail that came to me, I thought you might be intersted in reading.
Thank you again for your interest in BG's Electric Cars, the world’s first mass produced electric car.
BG Automotive Group Ltd. (BG)-Update:
WOW! What a whirlwind its been since you visited our web site. BG (Be Green) has been recognized as Treehugger.com’s favorite and most popular affordable electric car. BG has been featured on the cover of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s business section (see link below). BG was featured on Mygreenelement.com. CN8’s (Comcast Network) Janet Zappala interviewed and introduced BG to almost half the nation on Arthur Fennell Reports. The San Francisco Chronicle, Charlotte Observer and many other well respected newspapers have also written about BG's progress. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) invited BG (the only electric vehicle manufacturer) to testify on August 4th in Washington D.C. about the NEW CAFE standards. Virtually every major network and national business magazines have expressed interest in featuring BG’s C100. We have graciously declined to move forward on PR & advertising until we can actually put the reporters behind the wheel.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, and all without any traditional advertising thus far. In fact, almost 10,000 people have expressed qualified interest from our web site to date. We are in the process of coordinating the testing, inspection and assembly of our first vehicles. We are also evaluating several locations for our factory owned showrooms for the distribution of our vehicles. Long story short, we have also decided that showing real photography of the finished model was imperative to marketing our vehicles to our demanding consumers. Therefore the final design and printing of our brochures you are requesting will not be mailed until early fall.
The good news is that we’re still on schedule to deliver the first of 4,000 Neighborhood Electric Vehicles 4th quarter 2008, with the prototypes available for test driving mid-fall.
You’ll also be happy to learn that we are in the process of negotiating with solar energy firms to design and build Solar-Orchards that will allow each BG owner to recharge their vehicles at shopping centers, schools, hospitals, parking lots, train stations and airports. Having renewable energy readily available is critically important to our success as a "green" company and more importantly your happiness and convenience as a BG owner.
We are also happy to report that municipalities throughout the U.S. are finally starting to think about our environment and creating incentives and conveniences to owning an electric car. For example, the City of Philadelphia has recently passed an ordinance allowing for recharging units in front of your urban home and allowing designated (permit) parking ONLY for owners of NEVs or EVs in front of their respective homes. BG will also be offering these individual home charging units. Depending on how much parking cost in your neighborhood, this can result in an annual savings of $1,500 to $4,000/year.
We are very excited about being a part of the future and helping make our environment cleaner and safer for all to enjoy. We will continue to work towards making the BG ownership experience as safe and convenient as possible. We’ll continue to keep you posted.
Thanks again for your interest and confidence in BG Automotive Group, Ltd. We do not take that responsibility lightly.
Sincerely,
Barry Bernsten President BG Automotive Group, Ltd.
