I thought it might be good to collect a list of books on the topic of EVs. I got the following book out of the local library. It was published in 1998, so it is a little dated. But it shows the ups and downs of the modern EV industry by following a company called Solectria (no longer in the EV business).

The book " Build Your Own Electric Vehicle (2nd Edition) by Seth Leitman & Bob Brant is available at good prices on both eBay and www.biblio .com.

Also there is a download (PDF) available for the book "Convert It!" by Michael P. Brown available from: http://www.scribd.com/doc/6410332/CONVERT-IT-

These are both great books.

Any update on this list of books? I've also got "Build Your Own Electric Vehicle, 2nd Ed" and think it's a great read, but because I'm not techonally minded, some of the chapters fly over my head.
