After listening to the conversation on your show earlier in the week regarding hypermiling, I decided to give it a try.
I drive a 20005 Nissan Murano which normally averages 17.1 mpg city/highway combined. I reset my MPG meter at the beginning of the day before I started. When I got home at the end of the day, the meter read 23.5 mpg. That is a 37% increase.
I spend $5000 a year in gas for that vehicle. Because I listen to your podcast, I can potentially save $1800 a year.
I can use that savings to help me lease a solar system which will eventually charge the EV I will purchase in the future.
This is definitely something I.C.E. drivers can do to make a huge positive impact right now.
